The Redington PATH fly rod is a great stick that will serve the newbie to advanced fly angler well. With a medium-fast action, it is forgiving of errant casts and will put a fly in a fish’s feeding window. Line weights 3 – 6 have a wood reel seat and a half-wells grip. Line weights 7 – 9 have a full-wells grip and anodized aluminum reel seat. A 2-piece rod is available in 5 and 8 weights allowing for a true bend into the butt when fighting fish. In addition to the rod, the outfit includes a CROSSWATER spooled with backing, and RIO WF line. The Path II outfit is a very affordable rod/reel combo to take to the river.
